Sturdy files to hold your paperwork

All files are made from sturdy material to make sure they last without looking tatty. We can even customise files (including adding your company logo) however the following are the most popular in our range.

Open File
Ideal for filing where papers need to be kept in sequential order, the open file comes hole punched ready for a clip fastener. The expandable 35mm spine lets you store up to 300 sheets while the extended top cover stops your papers getting tatty when the file is full.
Legal File
A practical variation on the open file, the legal file has an expandable pocket attached to the left hand side with a capacity of up to 200 sheets of paper. This file has a dual use - one side holds material with a fastener (perhaps for correspondence) whereas the pocket holds material you don't want hole-punched (spiral bound documents or bulky manuals).
Pocket File
The original Dalton file, this pocket design means you don't have to punch holes in your paperwork - just slip them straight in the top. Blank indices are available to let you create your own subsections within the file.
The expandable gusset is perfect for storing thick brochures or spiral bound documents and comes in 3 sizes:
  • 25mm for up to 200 sheets
  • 35mm for up to 300 sheets
  • 100mm concertina format for up to 1000 sheets

Strong fasteners to keep your papers in place
User friendly 3 piece clip
Using the latest plastic technology, our fasteners are designed to avoid the splitting and detachment problems of other clips on the market. The 3 piece clip allows the file to lie flat for photocopying and lets you insert or remove papers without having to unthread the rest of the file. Fixed onto the file by a strong self adhesive base,the 3 piece is ideal for files with medium to high usage.
Unbreakable 4 piece clip
This heavy duty fastener is designed to withstand pressure from bulky files in constant use. A patented design unique to Dalton's, the secret of its strength is the way it threads through the back of the file. This means it can never separate from the file regardless of how full it is or how often it's accessed. Using the same plastics technology as the 3 piece, the 4 piece also shares its user friendly features.
Flexi-fastener & cover
For files that are not accessed as often, the flexi-fastener with its plasticised aluminium strip is an economical alternative to the 3 or 4-piece clip. It threads through the back of the file and is secured by a large durable cover. It cannot become detached and securely holds up to 300 pages in place.
