Product Tour - File Management
File Management that could not be simpler . . .
Use the DALPRO File Workbench to find and maintain your files with ease.
DALPRO's four level file classification system can be customised to
match your own file classification system. So the first time you use DALPRO, it will already
feel like an old friend.
Searching
The default file classifications are Client Number, Engagement, File Type and Sub File Type.
Use the top row of these fields for quick searches - just enter a value and click the search button.
Run specific searches on a wide array of fields when a basic search returns too many records, or when you don't
know the file classification.
Search on any field in the Profile Tab, on file contents or on archival box.
Updating
Use the fields on the Profile Tab to view and update the details of your files.
Use the Add and Remove buttons to create and delete files.
Archival
Use the Archive Tab to record archival details of a file, and to schedule a destruction date.
Content
With the Content Tab you can record content specific details, such as keywords for searching, as well as comments.
Bookings
Manage file bookings using the Bookings Tab. You can record a a file booking, giving a reason and the
person who booked it. Add the date a file was taken and when it was returned as needed.
You can also use the Extract and Return feature to extract (pick up a booked file) or return the currently selected file.
Bulk Update
Use the bulk update function to change the owner, classification or classification description for as many files
as you want. Simply enter the classification for the files you want to change, then enter the new values, and
you've saved yourself hours of typing.
Print Bar Codes
Print bar codes for one file or as many as you like. Click the button, load the labels in your printer, and your hand
held scanner can save you hours of typing and eliminate keying errors.
Bulk Scan
Use the Bulk Scan function to issue files using a hand held scanner. Just scan the bar code of a file you have on
hand, then scan a person's barcode, and your file is issued.
If you want to issue more than one file to a person, just keep scanning files until you're done.
You can print barcodes for people from the user management function.
